Walk the Wight
David Wright is a wheelchair user; he wears leg braces and is on oxygen support 24/7 due to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. If that wasn’t enough, he also has dementia and PTSD. Despite his many challenges he endeavoured to take what steps he could along the Flat Walk the Wight 2015. He puts his determination down to being an ex-soldier and we are hugely inspired by his courage to succeed against the odds. David won the Ventnor Lion’s Personal Achievement Award at the Walk the Wight Awards in September 2015.
